Job Responsibilities
Visits assigned customers.
Prospects for new customers.
Communicates parts orders to counter people.
Review any special orders with the parts manager and obtain approval.
Verify receiving documents.
Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns and make sure the problem is corrected to the customer and dealership’s satisfaction
Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain the functioning of equipment.
Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
Locate and label parts and maintain inventory of stock.
Advises whether the status is stock or emergency.
Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
Record all sales and customer transactions that occur.
Updates customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses, etc.
Follow up on shortages and expedite by reporting to the Parts Manager.
Fill customer orders from stock and place orders when requested items are out of stock.
Place new merchandise on display.
Attends training seminars when possible.
Performs other tasks as required by the Parts Manager.
Requirements
HND/BSC/MSC in Business Administration or related field
5-7 years experience in selling spare parts in an automotive industry is most preferred
Should be knowledgeable in merchandising
Must maintain a professional appearance.
Strong communication skills.
