Objective & Summary
This job holder will manage the company's tax filing processes, audits, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. In this role, you will take charge of preparing and reviewing monthly and regular tax filings, managing FIRS and LIRS audits, and executing annual audits with external auditors.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Tax Filings:  

Take the lead in the preparation and review of monthly and regular tax filings, including corporate income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other applicable tax forms.  
Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance and accounting, to gather necessary information for accurate tax filings 

Tax Audit with LIRS and FIRS

Manage FIRS and LIRS audits as part of the Tax and Audit Accountant role.
Maintain regular communication with the existing tax consultant to stay updated on potential tax liabilities.
Collaborate with the Treasury Accountant to plan and facilitate timely tax payments.
Coordinate with tax advisors to provide necessary documents requested by FIRS and LIRS auditors in compliance with audit requirements.

Annual Audit with External Auditors 
With the supervision of the Audit team lead, 

Plan, execute, and lead audits of financial controls, operational controls, and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. 
Prepare audit schedules for auditors 
Communicate audit results to management, providing insights into control deficiencies and their impact on business operations. 

Requirements
Experience, Education and/or Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, and auditing.

Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Traits:

Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
