RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities include:

Lead the team that offers technical guidance on the targeted capacity building efforts to provide safe, timely, quality, and effective primary healthcare services;
Support and oversee the introduction of appropriate quality improvement approaches that improve PHC service delivery;
Build alliances and capacity of the public and private sectors across the continuum of primary healthcare.
Support the establishment of the monitoring and evaluation system to track compliance, strengthen, and recognize the quality of health care services.
Guide further integration of the national quality of care standards and accreditation requirements.
Contribute to the writing and submission of technical reports, quarterly and annual reports.
Coordinate implementation of the interventions to achieve greater synergy and better health outcomes.
Build capacity through training, mentoring, supervision, and technical exchanges that support F/SMOH, civil society, faith-based, and local partner development.
Supervise team of technical experts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-graduate degree in public health, health administration, medicine, nursing, social sciences, international development, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible senior-level working experience in senior positions managing technical teams on large USAID or other donor funded programs of similar size and scope (such as Team Lead/Unit Manager) either regionally or in Nigeria.
Experience in contributing to or managing quality improvement, primary healthcare service delivery and systems strengthening projects
Familiar with the national and sub-national primary health care context in Nigeria and designing and implementing activities and projects with a focus on PHC and quality of care
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with USAID, senior host government personnel, international organizations, and NGO partners required; and
Strong oral and written communication skills in English required.
Willingness to travel throughout Nigeria as needed.
