YouTube Channel Manager

About the Role


We are seeking a skilled YouTube Channel Manager to develop and manage a new YouTube channel focused on Yoruba/Hausa content from Nigerian producers.
The role involves video editing, channel optimization, and performance monitoring to maximize advertising revenue.


Key Responsibilities

Video Editing


Edit programs according to project guidelines.
Create trailers, teasers, Shorts, and promotional videos.


 YouTube Channel Management


Upload and optimize videos (metadata, thumbnails, monetization).
Organize content into playlists and schedule publications.
Track performance metrics and generate reports.


Rights Holder Coordination


Liaise with content providers on editorial, marketing, and legal matters.
Resolve copyright claims in collaboration with rights holders.


Social Media Promotion


Develop platform-specific content (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
Implement best practices, including trend adaptation and engagement strategies.


Required Skills & Experience


Proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Strong knowledge of YouTube Studio, CMS, and Content ID.
Experience managing YouTube channels (either personal or for brands/agencies).
Solid copywriting and communication skills.
Fluent in professional English
Fluent in Hausa
Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking.
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of Yoruba language
Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis.
