Job Title: Driver

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Summary

• The MD Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and discreet transportation services to the Managing Director and, occasionally, to other senior executives, clients, or the MD's family.
• This role requires utmost professionalism, flexibility with scheduling, and meticulous attention to vehicle maintenance and route planning.

Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Logistics:

• Safe and Punctual Transport: Drive the Managing Director to and from all business meetings, appointments, events, and personal locations (e.g., home, airport) in a safe and timely manner.
• Route Optimization: Plan and select the most efficient routes using GPS and real-time traffic updates to minimize delays, taking into account traffic patterns, road conditions, and security considerations.
• Flexibility: Be readily available and willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel as required by the MD's schedule.
• Assistance: Assist the MD and passengers with loading and unloading luggage, packages, and personal belongings.

Vehicle Maintenance & Care:

• Cleanliness: Ensure the assigned vehicle's interior and exterior are impeccably clean and presentable at all times.
• Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluid levels, tires, lights, etc.).
• Administration: Schedule and coordinate all routine maintenance, services, and repairs with approved vendors, ensuring the vehicle is always in optimal and roadworthy condition.
• Compliance: Ensure the vehicle's registration, insurance, and other legal documents are current.

Professionalism & Discretion:

• Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion regarding all conversations, travel plans, and sensitive information heard or observed while performing duties.
• Conduct: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, appearance, and dress code that reflects the executive level of the role and the company's image.
• Safety & Security: Prioritize passenger safety at all times, employing defensive driving techniques and maintaining awareness of surroundings.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate travel logs, mileage records, fuel consumption reports, and maintenance expense reports.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 6-10 years minimum) as an executive driver, personal driver, or chauffeur, preferably for a senior corporate executive.
• License & Record: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (no major violations or accidents).
• Driving Skills: Excellent driving ability with thorough knowledge of local and regional routes. Defensive driving certification may be a strong advantage.
