Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and strategic Procurement Officer with a minimum of 5 years of specific experience in the construction and real estate sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials, equipment, and services essential for our diverse projects.
You will play a key role in optimizing our supply chain, mitigating risks, and contributing to the overall profitability and success of our developments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic procurement plans for multiple construction projects, including apartments, mixed-use buildings, and engineering infrastructure.
Source, evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure the most favorable terms for pricing, quality, and delivery.
Prepare, issue, and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and tender documents in line with project specifications.
Manage the entire purchase order process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and project budgets.
Conduct thorough market research and supplier vetting to identify new vendors and ensure a reliable and competitive supply chain for construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, MEP systems).
Implement robust cost-saving strategies and value engineering initiatives without compromising on quality or safety standards.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Collaborate closely with the project management, engineering, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and financial constraints.
Monitor and report on supplier performance, inventory levels, and procurement KPIs to management.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant legal, regulatory, and company ethical standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Procurement Officer, specifically within the real estate and construction industry.
Professional certification is an added advantage.
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, building codes, construction methodologies, and engineering infrastructure requirements.
Demonstrable experience with tender management, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced projectenvironment.
