Job Title: Security Guard

Location: Owerri, Imo
Sector: Livestock Production
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and routine patrols of the farm's perimeter, livestock areas, equipment storage, and feed facilities to deter theft and vandalism.
• Implement and enforce strict access control measures, including monitoring and managing entry and exit points for personnel, vehicles, and visitors.
• Monitor and manage security systems such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and other surveillance technologies to detect and respond to suspicious activities.
• Ensure the strict enforcement of biosecurity protocols to prevent the introduction and spread of animal diseases.
• Promptly respond to security threats, emergencies, and incidents, and report any breaches or suspicious activities to management.
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all security incidents, patrol activities, and visitor records.

Essential Skills and Qualities

• The ability to keenly observe the farm and monitor for signs of intrusion, theft, or distress among the animals.
• Effectively communicate with farm management, security personnel, and visitors to relay information and enforce protocols.
• Follow established security protocols and procedures diligently.
• The ability to conduct extensive patrols across the farm premises.
• An understanding of farm operations, including biosecurity principles and the vulnerabilities of livestock and equipment.

Salary
N60,000 depending on experience
