Job Title: Audit Manager

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Head of Internal Audit

Job Purpose

  • The Audit Manager will play a strategic role in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of the organization’s production efficiency, risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, sound professional judgment, and a proven record of success in internal audit, risk management, or related accounting and finance leadership roles, with 5–7 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and lead internal audit engagements in accordance with the bi-annual audit plan and professional audit standards.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management systems.
  • Identify business process improvement opportunities and recommend corrective measures to strengthen operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations for management and the Audit Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, accounting standards (IFRS), and internal policies.
  • Support the development and monitoring of enterprise risk management (ERM) initiatives.
  • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior auditors, providing professional guidance and performance feedback.
  • Follow up on audit findings and management action plans to ensure timely implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess control implications of new business processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit methodologies and practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Accounting or other numerate disciplines.
  • Professional Certification: Member of ICAN or ACCA (mandatory).
  • Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in internal/external audit, risk management, or managerial accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in a cable manufacturing company or related manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal control frameworks, and risk management standards.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit/analytics tools; experience in data analytics is an added advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication abilities.
  • Attributes: High ethical standards, integrity, strong analytical and decision-making skills.
