We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Factory Accountant to join our team in Calabar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial functions within the factory operations, including cost control, inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented, ICAN-certified professional with strong experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, monitor, and manage factory budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to track manufacturing expenses Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed costing reports Conduct inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and stock control processes Ensure accurate cost allocation to products and departments Monitor CAPEX and OPEX spending within the factory Perform internal financial audits to ensure compliance and identify variances Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams for cost-saving initiatives Support the external audit process with factory-related financial documentation Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ICAN Certification (Mandatory) 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or FMCG accounting Strong knowledge of costing principles, inventory management, and factory finance Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, QuickBooks) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills
