We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Motor Grader Operator

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Contract

Job Brief

• We are seeking a skilled Motor Grader Operator to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of heavy construction equipment operation and safety practices.
• Motor Grader Operator responsibilities include grading and smoothing different types of surfaces, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and cooperating with construction crews and supervisors.
• Ultimately, the role of the Motor Grader Operator is to safely and effectively operate heavy machinery to contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate the motor grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Precisely operate grader blade to windrow gravel to the center of the road.
• Work with ground personnel in the excavation and installation process of pipelines.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.
• Ensure grader is in proper gear, and is not moving too fast for working conditions.

Qualifications

• SSCE, OND
• Proven work experience as a Motor Grader Operator, ESPECIALLY VOLVO GRADER
• Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
• Understanding of machine controls and operating procedures.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and noisy environments.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
