Associates Consulting Limited - Our client is a fast-growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production, and power, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: QC Supervisor (Pipeline Construction)

Locations: Akwa Ibom, Delta, Imo, and Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head, Pipelines Development

Job Summary

• The QC Supervisor will oversee all quality control activities on pipeline construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes (API 1104, ASME B31.4/B31.8 and ASTM ISO) and requirements.
• The role involves supervising QC inspectors, coordinating inspections/testing (welding, NDT coating, hydrotest, etc), managing documentation and driving continuous improvement in construction quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all pipeline construction activities (stringing, welding, coating, lowering-in, backfilling, hydrotesting, tie-ins) comply with approved standards, project specifications and client requirements.
• Develop and implement QC procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs) and checklists.
• Supervise welding inspections (visual, dimensional, WPS/PQR compliance, consumables control).
• Oversee NDT activities (radiography, ultrasonic, MPI, DPI) for weld joints.
• Monitor coating application, holiday testing and field joint coating quality.

Requirements

• A Diploma or an HND/Degree in any course.
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
