Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead and expand our sales operations within the assigned region.
  • The RSM will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, developing the sales team, and ensuring effective market penetration for our tech-enabled pharmaceutical distribution solutions.
  • The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG sales, combined with strong leadership and business development skills.

Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional targets.
  • Drive business growth through acquisition of new clients (pharmacies, hospitals, healthcare providers) and retention of existing accounts.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide timely reports to management.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the regional sales team to achieve revenue goals.
  • Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance reviews to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and align the team with company objectives.

Market Development & Customer Engagement:

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion channels in the region.
  • Maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing issues and providing innovative solutions.

Operations & Compliance:

  • Oversee regional sales operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and technology teams for seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical sales practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 7 – 10 years of proven sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial/regional leadership role.
  • Strong experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare distribution, or FMCG industries.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets and growing market share.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools, data analytics, and sales technology platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, tech-driven, and highly regulated environment.
